Itinerary:
Day 1
Arrive Cape Town International Airport where you will be collected by air-conditioned transport and transferred to the wonderfully located Pinard on Sea Luxury Guest House. Here you can relax for the rest of the day and explore the local area including a great Harley lifestyle lounge. All this whilst you soak up the wonderful views of Table Mountain and Robben Island. You will be met for dinner at one of the local restaurants by your hosts and the programme for the next 7 days will be discussed. Prepare for some awesome riding ahead.
Day 2
A hearty breakfast awaits the early birds after which we will take you to pick up your “Rides”. After the paperwork and the bike checks are done we are straight out onto the road heading out of Cape Town to ride what can only be described as some of the best roads in the world. Through mountain passes and down to the coastal town of Hermanus. We are almost certain to see Southern Right Whales in the harbour during this tour. Hermanus is famous for being the place the Southern Rights choose to birth their young each year.
Day 3 & 4
Leave Hermanus after breakfast and head to the mountains. Coffee at Swellendam fantastic views whilst riding Tradouw Pass. Lunch in Barrydale (Harley-friendly café). As we cross the the Klein Karoo you will welcome the stop at Ronnies Sex Shop (a bar!!!) for a cool drink and a coffee stop in Calitzdorp before arriving late afternoon in Oudtshoorn. That evening we will treat you to a traditional South African Braai (BBQ) Sample ostrich steaks, Boervose and some cold cold local beers. Next day after breakfast you can explore the local area at your leisure or simply relax in the beautiful surroundings of your guest house and use the pool. As an alternative to staying overnight in Oudtshoorn, consider upgrading your accommodation to stay at Buffels Drift Game Lodge.
Day 5
Heading south we will ride the long open roads from Oudtshoorn down across the mountains towards the coast and onto the highest Bungee jump bridge in the world. Once the brave have tried it we can ride back via Natures Valley and onward to our overnight stop in the beautiful and aptly named village of Wilderness. Long white beaches and friendly locals make this a stop to remember.
Day 6
A leisurely start to the day as we ride west along the N2 stopping to admire the view and to sample local hospitality en route. We will arrive to the coastal village of Witsand. Plenty of time here to relax on the white sandy beach or take a stroll as you watch for whales from your guest house The Whale Watchers Inn.
Day 7
Fired up the bikes and head back to the N2 for our journey back West but not before we visit the most southern tip of the continent of Africa. After which we head back to the town of Hermanus for our final night of the tour where you can visit the many bars and restaurants.
Day 8
After a hearty breakfast we will thunder out of Hermanus and head along the coast road to Gordon’s Bay and if time we will take a ride down to Cape Point. Arriving back in Cape Town late afternoon we hand back the Harleys and say our goodbyes before you are transferred back to the airport for your flight home.
