Your Itinerary
Day 1 (Sunday) |

Arrive Cape Town International Airport where you will be collected by air-conditioned transport and transferred to the wonderfully located Pinard on Sea Luxury Guest House. Here you can relax for the rest of the day and prepare for the next 10 days on the road. All this while you soak up the wonderful views of Table Mountain and Robben Island. You will be met for dinner at one of the local restaurants by your Adventure Tour Guide and the programme for the next 10 days will be discussed. We really don’t think there is a better way to start this fantastic Adventure tour. |

Day 2 (Monday) |
|
Transfer from guest house to pick up the KTM 990 Adventures from KTM Cape Town. After a briefing on the bikes and the finalising of the paper work we are on the road via Chapman’s Peak to Cape Point where the cool waters of the Atlantic Ocean meet the warmth of the Indian Ocean. Here you will have the chance to take photos and take a ride on the funicular railways to the top of the point. From here it’s back on the road for the journey up and over Sir Lowery Pass and on to Hermanus for your first road trip stop-over. Hermanus is famous for its seasonal whale festival and was home to the parents of the man who inspired the film The Great Escape real life WW2 hero, Squadron Leader Roger Bushell. |

Day 3 (Tuesday) |
|
Leave Hermanus after breakfast and go seek out some gravel roads to try out the bikes. Heading east we will arrive to overnight at the most southerly point of the continent of Africa, Cape Agulas. A photo of the sunset is pretty much a must here. |

Day 4 (Wednesday) |
|
You will have an early breakfast today and then head north to cross the mountains via Tradouw Pass. Once over the mountains you will pick up the R62 to take you across the Klein Karoo (Little Desert). Passing along the way the world famous “Ronnie's Sex Shop”. Don’t panic it’s just a bar with a funny story as to how it landed up with its name. Ronnie will be more than happy to tell you the tale. On through the town of Ladysmith and arriving late afternoon in Oudtshoorn. Stay at the luxury Lavender house and enjoy the convenience of the swimming pool and look forward to a braai that night. |

Day 5 (Thursday) |
|
After the long ride of the previous day today is a day of leisure in and around Oudtshoorn. At your own pace you can visit the Safari Ostrich Farm (www.safariostrich.co.za). Or the Cango Wildlife Ranch (www.cango.co.za) which has a wide range of reptiles and mammals including white tigers and offers the chance for you to take part in Croc Cage Diving. Or if you prefer something a little more energetic then try a visit to the Cango Caves and do the Adventure Tour. Again overnight in Lavender House Oudtshoorn. |

Day 6 (Friday) |
|
Well rested you now head south on mainly gravel roads. Riding through some of the most amazing passes on roads, the like of which you won’t find in the UK you will head towards Knysna with its great selection of bars and restaurants. Some stunning sunsets to be seen here and the chance to sample some of the best oysters in the world. Let your guide show you some of the places that are not so obvious to the tourists. |

Day 7 (Saturday) |
|
Heading East on the N2 Highway towards Tsitsikamma National Park where the brave amongst the group will have the opportunity to try out the World’s Highest Bungee Jump. The rest can watch and admire the views. Adrenaline rush over, you head back west on N2 taking in Nature's Valley en route and eventually ending up in Wilderness. Time permitting; your Guide will take you via the gravel roads through the forests. |

Day 8 (Sunday) |
|
After breakfast it’s back on the road and head northwest using a mixture of tar and gravel roads returning to the Klein Karoo where we will overnight at The Retreat a guest-house which borders the 129,000ha Swartberg Nature Reserve . This is truly a “get away from it all” experience. |

Day 9 (Monday) |
|
Leave the tranquillity of the reserve behind and head south through the small local towns and over the Langeberg Mountains to the sleepy coastal town of Witsand where you will overnight at The Whale Watchers Inn. |

Day 10 (Tuesday) |
|
From Witsand head west on gravel roads (keeping an eye out for wild tortoises which are quite a regular sight in these parts). Experience the crossing of the Breede River by Raft (yes you heard right.....this IS Africa!!). Once across, continue west and spend the last night of your road trip back in Hermanus where you can chill, do some local craft shopping and have your final dinner together. |

Day 11 (Wednesday) |
|
An easy start to today. After breakfast and a final wander around the local market it's back towards Cape Town via the Coastal Road and up and through the famous Wine town of Stellenbosch. If there is time we will visit the Spier Wine Lodge where you can visit the Cheetah Rescue Centre and even have your photo taken with one of the big cats. Back into Cape Town by mid/late afternoon and return the Adventure motorcycles to KTM Cape Town. |

Once back at base you can say your goodbyes and if required transport can be arranged to take you either on to the next part of your holiday or to the airport.
